HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Hindi was opened in the year 1968 when this college was set up by A. N. Khosla, the then Governor of Odisha.
Hindi as a  language  subject has been introduced  at the Pre-University level in Arts/sc and Com Faculty.  In the year 1971 Pass  Course  and in 2013  Honours  course were introduced. From the academic session 2015-16   CBCS pattern is in vogue.

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of History D .A.V Autonomous College , Titilagarh  has long history of about 50 years. The department has been functioning since  the date of the establishment  of the college in  1968. History as an  optional subject has  been introduced  in Pre-University level in Arts Faculty. In 1970 Degree Course was opened   and Honours course in History was introduced in 1994-95. CBCS  course was introduced in 2015-16. Teaching is being imparted on socio-political, cultural and economic    history of India and  the World. Besides it lays emphasis on recent development in Archaeology, Museology and Tourism.

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

   —  DAV college Titilagarh, which started in 1968 with intermediate classes provided teaching in MIL (Odia) in all the streams along with optional Odia in Arts stream.

  —  B.A. (pass) classes in  Odia introduced in the year 1971-72 along with MIL Odia in B.Sc. and B.Com. .

   —  In 1976 Honours classes in Odia was introduced.
